Mixing My Music
You can download it and import into iTunes is seamless, artwork and all!! I plan to purchase the rest as soon as I can get iTunes to play nicely with Vista and get to the store.
I have also been excited about the latest and greatest news from my main man Chuck Prophet http://chuckprophet.com/news/who is apparently working on a new record which I will hopefully get some preview of in Ybor City Fl. when my lovely bride to be and I head down on a quick honeymoon to see in a street festival down there at the Cubana Club in two weeks. Ive also been following CP on Twitter some and he has been mentioning my other main man Neil Young in his tweets and blogs which just excites me to no end. I find my musical tastes just intertwine each other on a consistent basis over and over, look forward to seeing you CP hope the lovely Stephanie will be joining you as well.
Last but not least Jen and I just caught a Felice Brothers show at Smiths Olde Bar in Atlanta and man what a ride! They are so full of energy and appreciative of the audience. Jen and I were so surprised to see a new drummer with the band and wondered what had happened to Simone Felice with his humorous facial expressions and crazy antics on and around the drum kit. Seems he has new plans for himself and again from what I have heard it's great check it out here, read the letter and follow the link of "If You Ever Get Famous" and listen download whatever blows up your skirt it's wonderful. http://www.songsillinois.net/tag/simon-felice/. My music is mixing and Im having such a good time Mixing My Music. Until next time

Chuck Prophet
Anyhow I got wind of Chucks solo stuff around 1997 and fell head over heels for his writing music styles and diversity. From his projects, Brother Aldo to the new Soap and Water CP has never failed to let me down. I now got to see him for the first time in my life at the aforementioned show in Nashville and as my life partner Jennifer said: "Your like a kid in a candy store, I love it" I truly was like the kid I remember being on Christmas eve the anticipation and excitement, restless all day looking at the fuckin clock just to see how many more hours I have until we leave for the show.
The show was all I expected it would be, In your face straight forward and non stop. Watching what keys he played in and commiting the chord progressins to memory as well as I can so I can play the songs myself. I loved every minute of it and when he struck the last chord I found myself wanting so much more. I made a total ass of myself getting all the SWAG I could afford and taking pics with Stephanie and getting autographs which he and Steph were just more than happy to give. Jennifer and I were also able to turn some new younger people onto CP and they as well could not stop thanking us for inviting them to the show.
Thanks CP for a great evening and Jen and I will always be there when you come through and do what we can to bring a posse of our peeps. http://www.chuckprophet.com/ Find a show near you

A Soulful Mix
"Thats alright mama thats alright with you thats alright mama anyway you do" is stuck in so may minds and synonymous with the Sun sound of Memphis Tennessee.
The Sun Sound began when Sam Phillips launched his record company in February of 1952. He named it Sun Records as a sign of his perpetual optimism: a new day and a new beginning. Sam rented a small space at 706 Union Avenue for his own all-purpose studio. The label was launched amid a growing number of independent labels. In a short while Sun gained the reputation throughout Memphis as a label that treated local artists with respect and honesty. Sam provided a non-critical, spontaneous environment that invited creativity and vision.
What so many do not realize is that before Carl, Elvis, Jerry Lee The Man in Black and a host of others were a phenomenal list of blues greats such a BB King, Rufus Thomas and Howlin' Wolf! Sam's vision to find a great mix of the whitest white of hillbilly and the blackest of the black bluesmen was a total success. In the south far from racial barriers was a man who believed there was a spiritual connection within music itself. Thank you Sam Phillips for your diligence to find and record real music and not sell out to big money corporations and stay true to your self and to music. "Real music is out there and real people are making it and there is ALWAYS an Econoline rolling towards a gig somewhere in the south"

Devil juice
February was great I got a deposit and the 1st months rent and I had a tenant with some longevity. I got a text in March telling me that he psycho ex partner had cleaned out her bank account. I've met the psycho and thought it possible so I say " Okay how about you give me $300 extra each month for the next 3 months and were golden" all I get is a text from her daughter in April stating the tenant tried to commit suicide, and a threat saying if I tried to move any of her moms stuff she'd have me arrested.
After she borrowed money from a friend and paid up everything in April I feel maybe were on track but, May is late and in June I ask her if she'll just leave I'll call it even and be done with the whole thing. But no, I get June and July in one check at the end of June and of course August, September & October I've never seen. Even after phone calls which I did NOT want to make I get a crazy psycho cracked out methamphetamine head lesbian telling me the phone calls are borderline harassment. I looked at the cell phone like it had a vagina. She finally screwed up enough to miss a filing deadline after I filed a warrant and called me with apologies and she would never let drugs control her again. Yeah well, I just learned the hard way how to become an asshole. Next tenant better not be an hour late with rent. But I wonder, is meth and crack just something Satan conjured up to try his takeover of evil dominance?
I still believe most people are good but I'll be much more cautious to delve a little before I take the leap for them
